Hi everyone! Who do you reccommend for English 200? Who do you NOT reccommend? I'm going to be taking that class next spring and would like some input before I make out my schedule :)

THanks everyone,
Mike

Is Mollie Sandock teaching an English 200 class next semester? If she is, I would recommend her. She's really nice, and she's an excellent teacher. Her feminism and liberalism spills into the class a bit (as evidenced by her book selections), but she doesn't try to force her beliefs on everyone else. She's always willing to help out, and she knows what she's talking about. I got to have her for both CORE 110 and English 200...lucky me. :)

SANDOCK!!!!!

Other than that, Feaster, if he's still teaching. Kind of dry, but I liked him.

More importantly, do you have a list of who's teaching?

Schuette-Hoffman is who I have now and she's good, but expect to work. It's not a bird course.

I had Hanson his first year at VU. He was ok. Probably the best thing I liked about having him is that he would let us re-do papers for a better grade...but for some reason I was the only person that ever took advantage of that opportunity.

I had Hanson, took him over a summer. Decent teacher, a little cooky, but it makes you able to pay attention to him while you try to figure out what makes him tick.

I third Sandock. I also had her for Core and English and she was amazing and very understanding. She enjoys seeing different ways of thinking.

Sandock and Feaster are both good. I liked Uehling as well. He's tough, but I learned a lot. Don't know who is teaching what this year.
